Beta-Caryophyllene

Beta-Caryophyllene

Beta-caryophyllene is a sesquiterpene hydrocarbon associated with spicy and woody botanical aromas. It is chemically different from humulene, which is also called alpha-caryophyllene, and from caryophyllene oxide. Those names should not be substituted for one another in specifications or ordering documents.

If a supplier lists “caryophyllene”, confirm exactly which substance or measurement is intended. Research interest in a compound does not establish a therapeutic benefit for every blend containing it. For buying and aroma development, focus on verified identity, composition, the intended product and evaluation of the complete profile rather than treating one constituent as an outcome guarantee.
